"Revitalize Cedarville"

Sarah Garrison, a longtime resident of Cedarville, has started a new nonprofit - Revitalize Cedarville.  They are a diverse group of 10 stakeholders representing various aspects of our village - Village Council, Cedarville University, Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Owners, Residential, Commercial, and Rental Property Owners, and longtime Residents.  Their goal is to work together to improve our downtown (improving buildings, parking, creating streetscapes, outdoor space, etc.), make it a more welcoming place for our residents and visitors, capitalize on our Village's existing businesses and economic base, as well as create opportunities to diversify it by adding new businesses to our vacant retail spaces.

Revitalize Cedarville is working to develop a strategic plan along with the expertise of The Ohio Main Street Program (Heritage Ohio) who will be completing a 2-day assessment in our Village next month. They will use this plan to help prioritize and coordinate improvements within our Village. Revitalize Cedarville truly wants to preserve our Village's assets - the things that make Cedarville "Cedarville" (our local businesses, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.) and see them thrive.

No one knows what works and doesn't work for our local businesses better than the business owners. Sarah wants to be able to set a quick meeting with each business owner to provide them with information on this group and ask them a few questions - what are some challenges you're currently facing, what improvements or changes would you like to see in the Village to help your business be more successful, and any thoughts or input you'd like to provide. She will be contacting you this week to schedule a time that she could stop by and meet with you for 15 minutes or so to discuss these things.

Thanks!
Sarah Garrison
